I am doing some fun stuff while awaiting the SNOW!
Saturday
I will be attending the Act Like Men Conference in Columbus, Ohio. This means I will be driving through the snow (all 6-8 inches) on Saturday morning. If you feel like praying, I would appreciate it. Actually, I am hitching a ride in a 4×4 truck, so I will not be driving, but riding.I will most likely be tweeting some of the content, but you can watch the live stream here.
Sunday
We will be watching the Super Bowl with some friends. I am calling it now, Colts 34, Saints, who cares because they will be losing.
Monday
I am trying to think of an old school “Be a Man Monday” post for my friend Jonathan. Any ideas? Put ‘em in the comments.
Tuesday
I think I will be breaking some news. Stay tuned.
Wednesday
I am going to start hitting on technology and its purpose in spreading the Gospel.
I hope you all have a good weekend. If you live in the snow zone, be careful, and please, if you cannot drive confidently, don’t drive at all.
What I need from you
I want to know:
- Are you watching the big game? If not, what are you doing?
- Who do you think will win?
- What should I write about for “Be a Man Monday?”
-Don-

I will be watching te game.. I am a sucker for the “underdog” so would love to see the Saints take it.
As for “be a man” post .. Something that has been hitting me and a few guys I meet with are the lack of godly, genuine, casual, relationships men are in. As men I need other men to keep me on track but that forces me to be real and in community with these men. It’s more than just a mens group it’s a deep unshaken trust that us rooted by the holy spirit.
I cannot argue with your underdog thing. I hope the Saints are the underdog…with rabbis…and they get put down!
Sorry, Falcons fan here. NFC South divisional foe. I cant stand them. But you can root for them if you like
1. Yes, I am watching the game with you and our friends in their awesome country home (that should be surrounded by snow)!
2. Of course, as a Colts fan, I think they will win. Go Manning, Clark, Addai, and the gang!
3. I think a good topic would be the manliness of good communication: within family, friendship, and church. Ya know, the stereotypical "strong and silent" man is not manly or spiritually effective.
I love you
* No way am I watching any football game. I couldn't even tell you what colors either of those teams wear. Have I mentioned that I hate football? *ducks from thrown objects*
We are going to the art museum and have falafel for lunch on Sunday!
* Ummm… the blue guys? If no one is wearing blue…umm… maybe next year?
* I think talking about manly communication be it with friends or family is a good idea! Both Jill and Adam touch on that.
SO, what I hear you saying is, You love football?
1. I will probably watch halftime for the commercials, and the last 10 minutes of the game so i know who wins.
2. New Orleans: They've never won before, and I think it would be good for the city that everyone seems to have forgotten about despite that fact that it is far from re-built after Katrina
3. As a teacher, I see a troubling trend where males do not seem to be as intellectual as females these days. Honors classes have mostly girls in them, general classes have mostly guys AND have horible behavior problems. Class and character tend to take a back seat to "who can say or do the most inappropriate thing"
Noooooooo! Dang it. As a Falcons fan I cannot go with your line of reasoning for a Saints win.
I love your idea for a post.
1. Maybe. It's not really my thing, nor do I really understand the issues involved with each team playing… I'll probably be hang'n with friends with it in the background.
2. Ref. #1
3. I think a good topic for men to think about is the relationship between gentleness and manliness. Jesus was manly, and he was gentle. He is the king, and he is lowly of heart. Most men aren't. Discuss that.
1. Probably won't watch the game…I enjoy football on the side but I'm make a lousy fan.
How nice of them to make it all the way.
2. Colts. Because they wear blue and are one of the only teams I read anything about this year.
3. What Jacob said.
