I especially like what you said about inviting them to go with you without making compromises. This is really important. Sometimes even when we are more mature in our relationship with God we are tempted to bargain just to get the chance to give them the Gospel. It's a difficult task, learning how to be in one's life without being of it. But for new believers, it's best that they take the time away, like you said, and FIND A MENTOR! Good stuff, Demian. Thanks for the post.

And yes, thanks to Don for these great topics. I really enjoyed reading and writing in it. Don, please compile these in an eBook format so that we can offer it to people as a resource on our websites, even if we link it back to your blog. They are just good stuff to read for a quick understanding of where to start. Thanks!

And yes, Don did a great job on the choices of blog topics. Thanks again Don for the opportunity! Great challenge.

In a few months, this is exactly one of the issues I am going to be needing to work one of my friends through when he puts his faith in Jesus Christ.

My prayer though is that the new believer will be overwhelmed by the gospel and the goodness of God so that he will be bold when going back to tell him friends about the change in his life.

Demian, your post captures the feelings tied in to this topic as if you were speaking directly to a new believer who needs gentle but firm urging. And hat tip to Don for coming up with these topics for us guest bloggers - they are practical and needed right now.
