Shoot, when you comment, you do not even have to comment on what I post.
I have a lot of work to do over the next week, two weeks, month, and maybe lifetime. One may be stressed at the prospect of doing a lot of work. I know I have been, I even wrote a post about it. But I am at peace right now. Last night we “let our hair down” at a Bible study. Want to know the truth? We did not open the Bible. Sure, we talked about church matters for a few minutes, we talked about Jesus a tad, but we also talked about work, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Robin Williams, food, kids, Georgia, and only God remembers what else.
During this time I was at ease.
I was not thinking much about these things:
- There is a great debate going on about the murder of abortionist George Tiller.
- I have a support letter I have to finish, soon.
- I have meetings coming up with the SBC, SWBA, NAMB, other pastors of churches not in any of the aforementioned.
- My co-worker just had a quadruple bypass +one (five total).
- If I do not change my life, I will be like him.
- I have my new site to finish up for accountability and exercise (if I ever finish it, its gonna be sweet!)
- I have my Acts 29 stuff to finish.
- I have to finish unpacking my study.
- The dinning room baseboards have to be finished.
- I have a lawn to mow Saturday.
- I have a church to teach at on Sunday.
- I’m six books behind in my reading, and two more are coming. (ok, I know, not a stress really, but it makes the list longer and more daunting, right?)
Last night my youngest son had a horrible night trying to sleep. I woke up to him crying several times. Thank God my baby mommy went in there to sooth him each time and let me sleep. I’m tellin ya, I have the best wife ever.
You would think I would be grumpy.
But I woke up relieved. Tired, but I feel less stress than ever. I feel good. Sometimes you have sit back and relax.
