Thanks you guys. I find it rather funny that we are the only ones who have commented. lol. You know, being that we are not "new" Christians.

Not sure what category to list it under, but AW Tozer's The Pursuit of God is a very good little book.

Good list Jonathan. The short summaries are great for helping me pick which ones I DON'T want to read. Haha...That list is shorter than trying to list the ones that I DO want to read.

I hate posts on book lists [coming from a guy who does it all the time] because my list of books to read usually grows. Kudos to you for naming some I was completely clueless to you. That's what makes this post on lists a stand out. Great work, Jonathan.

Great post, Jonathan!

I would suggest one other book under the apologetic section. Tim Keller's "Reason for God" is spectacular. It's imminently readable and would do two things for a new (and mature) believer. 1.) It takes head on the arguments against Christianity that are being popularized by the likes of Dawkins and Hitchens. In an age where atheists are becoming more belligerent, having someone pick apart their arguments would be helpful. 2.) The second half of the book is Keller's reasons why he believes Christianity to be the most reasonable choice in light of the evidence.

"Reason for God" should be on any Christian's To-Read list, but especially a new Christian.

Thanks again for the recommendations. I think I've found a few more books that I'd like to check out. My wife will be sooo happy :)
