I Love, Technology…

But how useful is it, really?

For Christmas, I was given a very generous gift, an iPod Touch. Just ask my wife, I played with it non-stop. I checked the web. I watched Youtube videos with my boys, I loaded Tweet Deck (don’t hate), and finally, I put some music on it.

I don’t mind being entertained

But some things just feel like they should be used for a bigger purpose. A “higher” purpose if you will. I loaded the infamous Logos app (which, I found out by a guy learning Greek is pronounced “law-gaws”) so I could read and study the Bible. I love it. I even load podcasts from different preachers to listen to during my 45 minuted drive to work.  But I feel there should be much more. What can a person do to really maximize the use of all my technology items?

Here are my “tech questions” for you all:

  • What technological device or advance have you found most useful in your life?
  • What is one piece of technology you wish you had, why?
  • How can I use my iPod Touch to its maximum benefit (for God)?
  • Are there any (free) apps that can help with this?
  • If you could design an app, what would it do?

You don’t have to answer all of them, but it would be really, really, really, really cool if you answered some of them. I’m looking to think outside my box.

Leave your answers in the comments.
