Who is this site for?
Anyone and everyone who has an interest in the Old Testament. Our goal is to do research and make it accessible to anyone.
What are PROJECTS?
Every month we invite all readers to participate with us in some sort of task. We hope to put together resources through collaboration. Each project has its own tasks to be completed. All projects remain open to anyone as long as it has not been completed (and marked as such).
You can learn more about individual projects by going here: Projects Category.
What is all this “seminary” business?
One of my ambitions is to learn about the Old Testament. One of the things in the way of this ambition is money. The price of seminary is outrageous. To compensate, I examined several universities that offered Old Testament classes and picked the most consistent. With some friends who are much smarter than me, I made a curriculum and picked the texts needed for the studies. In turn, I decided to make this free to all who wanted to participate (you gotta buy your own books!). You can learn more here: Seminary
What are your views on young earth creationism?
The purpose of this site is not to answer or debate questions pertaining to the young vs. old earth creation theories. Our goal is to study the Old Testament and learn how it points to Jesus Christ.
What are your theological views?
In the words of one of my brothers in Christ; “if you backed me into a corner, I would tell you I am a Calvinist…” I do not aim to put a label on myself other than “Christian.” Yes, I believe many things along the lines of the Reformed movement, and yes, I think Calvin was correct in much of his writings. But what I really care about is learning about Christ and Him crucified. Some guy named Paul once wrote that, “was the one thing that he knew.” I wish it to be the one thing that I know.
