Sweetest day is a fake holiday… If I had a girlfriend though, I'd easily put down $20+ for her, on any other holiday, or even on an ordinary day to surprise her. Just not sweetest day, because sweetest day is dumb.

I like your seven word phrase better. No offense, I just like the way it helps demonstrate the "multifaceted" definition of man. I cannot say there is a one-word-fits-all answer.

Well said. Regarding the "door holding" and so on, I believe woman pick up on whether this is genuine or if someone does it because it's what they are supposed to do. If I were to define what it means to be a man in one word, that word is "Responsibility." If I had seven they would be: justice, benevolence, courage, politeness, sincerity, honor, and loyalty.
